Nuclear factor NF-κ-B p105 subunit is a protein encoded by the NFKB1 gene in humans. It is a DNA binding subunit of B-cell protein that interacts with the immunoglobulin κ light-chain gene enhancer. Tumor necrosis factor α (TNF α) helps in activation and induces expression of NFKB1 gene. Oxaliplatin reactivates HIV-1 expression by inducing nuclear factor κ B (NF-κB) nuclear translocation and may be a potential drug candidate for anti-latency therapies.
