It is related to SF-1/NR5A1 (mammalian steriodogenic factor-1), which regulates the development and functioning of adrenal glands and testis. NR5A2 is expressed in pancreas, liver and intestine, in adults. It is also expressed in breast adipose tissue and ovary.
