General description_x000D_
Monoclonal Anti-PIWIL1 (mouse IgG2b isotype) is derived from the hybridoma piwi-like protein 1 (PIWIL1-2) produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal region of human PIWIL1 conjugated to KLH. PIWIL1 is a member of Piwi subfamily. It is expressed mostly to the germline. The encoded protein consists of the PAZ domain and the PIWI domain. The PIWIL1 gene is located on human chromosome 12q24.33._x000D_
