General description_x000D_
Homeobox C8 (HOXC8) is a member of homeobox (HOX) family. It is a transcription factor, expressed in neural tube, brain, breast and adult bone marrow. HOX genes consist of a highly conserved 60-amino-acid region (the homeobox) with DNA-binding activity, that contributes to their activity as transcription factors. The gene is located on human chromosome 12q13._x000D_
Immunogen_x000D_
synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 96-110 of human HOXC8 conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in mouse and rat._x000D_
