Description_x000D_
General description_x000D_
Really interesting new gene (RING ) finger protein 4 (RNF4) gene encodes ubiquitin E3 ligase, an enzyme widely expressed in many tissues. The protein contains a RING (really interesting new gene) finger domain and around three small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO)-interaction motifs. RNF4 is mapped to human chromosome 4p16.3._x000D_
Immunogen_x000D_
synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 176-190 of human RNF4_x000D_
Application_x000D_
Anti-RNF4 (176-190) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting analysis._x000D_
Target description_x000D_
RNF4 (176-190), ring finger protein 4. encodes a protein that contains a RING finger motif and acts as a transcription regulator. This protein has been shown to interact with, and inhibit the activity of, TRPS1, a transcription suppressor of GATA-mediated_x000D_
Physical form_x000D_
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide._x000D_

Biochem/physiol Actions_x000D_
Really interesting new gene (RING ) finger protein 4 (RNF4) catalyzes the ubiquitylation of proteins associated with small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO). Rnf4 is involved in DNA repair, in transcription and chromatin regulation. It is also associated with the process of hematopoiesis. RNF4 is implicated in acute promyelocytic leukemia, acute myeloid leukemia, Fanconi anemia and aplastic anemia.
