Description_x000D_ Application_x000D_ β-Glucanase is used to study cell wall modifications and for carbohydrate hydrolysis. It has been used to supplement barley-based diets for poultry and to study the reopening signal conduits and release of dormancy in the Populus species._x000D_ Biochem/physiol Actions_x000D_ β-Glucanase is involved in cell wall modifications and carbohydrate hydrolysis._x000D_ Unit Definition_x000D_ One unit will produce 1 μmole of reducing sugar (measured as glucose) from Beta-glucan per minute at pH 5.8 at 70 °C._x000D_ Physical form_x000D_ Supplied as a solution in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl, and 25% glycerol.
