Description General description Fluorinert belongs to the group of aliphatic compounds. It is considered as a pressure-transmitting medium because it is highly inert. Application Fluorinert™ FC-770 has been used as an enema in a multimodality imaging study (MRC and endoscopy) for quantitative analysis of the effect of rapamycin on colonic adenomas in mouse model. In the same context it has also been used for anatomic and functional (dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE)- MRI) assessment of colonic polyps in multiple intestinal neoplasia mice. It may also be used a compound to calibrate electron ionization (EI) mass spectroscopy.
